Our branches are situated in the heart of the local communities we serve. From Newark to Leicester to Loughborough we provide first class customer service and professional eye care for all our local customers. This year, we mark our 30th year in business - which started back in 1991 at our Newark branch.
I love to watch my favourite football team in action - Leicester City. I also enjoy playing badminton, reading and binge watching box sets! Too many favourite holiday locations to choose from but particular highlights have been Barcelona, Rome, New York, Havana and Kenya! I love working with the team, this makes the business always exciting to work for.
Visiting your Opticians is as important as visiting your Doctor or Dentist, so when you visit Opticare we make sure it's a relaxing experience. Opticare offers two tiers of eye examinations (see below). Certain groups of people, like children and over 60s, are eligible for free NHS funded eye checks.

Excellent experience from start to finish, easy to book in and pre-appointment phone call to answer any queries. Shaimil conducted the most thorough eye test I've had, and picked up on things that have been missed by my previous opticians. Very helpful and welcoming staff in the branch who helped me to choose my new glasses. 100% recommend Opticare!

I've been taking my children here for years to get their yearly checks as the staff are outstanding and great with young kids. I recently had to take my daughter in as she was complaining of eyepain and headaches. They got her in right away and discovered she had developed long sightedness in one eye. The staff were very patient as my daughter tried on atleast 10 pairs of glasses to decide which ones she liked best.
They did all the checks to make sure the fit were perfect. They told us it would be about a week for thr glasses but instead was 2days! She loves her glasses and has no more pain or headaches. I can't recommend them enough.

My daughter had an appointment yesterday afternoon, he was rude, shouting and had me and my daughter in tears. told me I needed to rush her to the hsopital because of how bad her eyes was, asked her none of the questions on his report and told me she was hours away from losing her eye sight. i took her to the hospital and they was gob smacked at how we had been treated. he checked her eye once and it was no where near as bad as he stated in the room. safe to say I won't be using them again. not professional in the slightest.
