They're calculated using the measurements and results from your consultation with us to fit your visual needs. But the customisation doesn't end there - did you know that lenses can be tailored to fit your favourite frames, and even to match your lifestyle?

Eye Care Report

We continually invest in our staff and optical technology to ensure you receive the highest standard of clinical care. No matter how complex, our optometrists and qualified clinical staff have the skills to tailor your eye care to your individual needs. Children's eye tests are funded by the NHS and at Black & Lizars we recommend your child be reviewed regularly as advised by the optometrist. And don't worry, your child doesn't have to be able to read for the test to be accurate, we have many different ways of testing their eyes.

Hearing Care Report

At Black & Lizars, your hearing assessment is free. The test takes around 60 minutes and will provide an in depth analysis of your hearing health. Our audiologists can also provide helpful advice on getting the most from your hearing - whatever condition it is in.

Careers Report

First and second year optometry and audiology undergrads, to work part-time at our Edinburgh and Glasgow practices!. We are ideally looking for either qualified Dispensing Opticians, or least 5 years experience. The roles will be based in North and South Glasgow.

From start to finish excellent service from the minute you walked into their premises. No rush to have your eyes tested and great care taken to ensure that your eyes receive the best possible care. The staff have great patience when it comes to selecting your frames and lens styles. Negatively sorry cant think of any some might say a wee bit expensive however you only get what you pay for and I am very pleased with the service and product I received.

Terrible customer care and service from start to finish! Left my 76 year old Gran without glasses for 3 and a half weeks. When the glasses were finally "ready" they were not reactalights like the originals we had put in for repair.
