OK, so you will want to know a little bit about us here at Village Optician. We want to know who we are dealing with when we're looking for new people to work with too! Myself, Michael and Stephen, my brother, are both fully qualified Optometrists. We did the usual thing after gaining our qualifications, and worked for some different Opticians, we didn't know at that point we wanted to be Optician business owners!

At The Village Optician we allow 45 minutes for your eye examination and 60 minutes for an enhanced consultation. We appreciate that your time is valuable, and we want to make sure we get things right for you first time. I have had my annual eye test and as always it was carried out with the utmost care and consideration. I did need new glasses and the purchase was made easy as a result of the help given by the staff. I availed myself of the offer a second pair at half price as I have a diploma in losing things which could be problematic in relation to driving. Sincere thanks to everyone at the Village Opticians

As always I have had great service from a very professional but caring team who made the whole process a pleasure from beginning to end. My new glasses are wonderful and are getting lovely comments from friends and family who have seen them so far. The staff are so friendly I felt right at home from my first step into the premises, and that said, it didn't get in the way of their professionalism. My second visit to pick up my excellent glasses was an equally enjoyable experience. I am absolutely blown over with everything about The Village Opticians, nothing at all like the 'supermarket' type that I was used too. Well done and a huge 'HURRAH' to you all. (can I have a discount next time?)

One of the most helpful and honest opticians i have ever used. I have high astigmatism which makes contact lenses near impossible to get correct. The opticians tried getting mine right but admitted he could not succeed so offered me a full refund. So friendly and customer orientated which is a rarity. Even advised me to go to another optician which may be able to help.

First used this Opticion back in 2015 was impressed with the service I got back then. Visited their Aycliffe store this month to look for new glasses, was greeted warmly by the staff and immediately dealt with in a very professional manner, I was advised on styles that were suitable for me and within my budget. After I picked & ordered the pair I chose, was told it would be approx 10 days for me to collect them (was to the day),m essage sent to my mobile to arrange an appointment for fitting etc. Great Service! from a Family business.

I visited the Village opticians recently and today collected my new glasses. From the first meeting with the staff to collecting my glasses what a fantastic experience everyone has been so friendly and helpful. I explained I had a problem getting a frame to fit correctly, the told me It wouldn't be a problem they could sort it. This is the first time I have gone to collect glasses and have them fit first time also the lens they recommended are great.
I saw the reviews on line before I visited this opticians and can say I agree with there comments. Your eyesight is precious and this opticians go the extra mile to make sure you receive the best treatment.

Can't recommend The Village Optician enough! My whole family, including myself use this opticians and the service they provide is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and there is always a friendly face to greet you. My little girl absolutely loves going here, not only are they super helpful in finding the perfect pair of glasses for her they interact with her, often asking how school is etc.
It's so welcoming for both adults and children, when we visit the optician it's a struggle to get my little girl to leave. She loves to play opticians while in there and the staff are more than happy for her to do so. All in all this place is an excellent opticians. Thank you for being great .

I have been to this opticians for a couple of pairs of glasses now. Each time, I have felt welcomed and supported by the staff, with prompt delivery of my glasses. Staff are willing to listen to what you want and give you their professional advice. All staff ensure that you are fully satisfied in your visit and with your choices of eyewear. I will continue to purchase from this store for these reasons.

I have tried the rest but now I have found the best (truly)! The patience, attentiveness and caring way the whole team at the Newton Aycliffe branch dealt with my varifocal lens problem was outstanding. It was such a relief to find out my vision problem could be resolved; I would highly recommended this Optician to anyone. Very professional and above all friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble.
