David Faulder

To say that I left David Faulder with a bitter taste in my mouth is an understatement. I have been a customer over 10 years when the original owner was mr Faulder. Impeccable service is why I stayed with them. Since they have changed hands a few years ago, the staff is much more pushy and I left last Friday after doing a normal eye test with a bill of nearly £500!

Tests were pushed on me without explaining what for or what the costs would be. The same for plugs which were installed without telling me the costs again.

Although they are knowledgeable, I am cancelling my diamond care plan that I have been on for years- Paying £360 a year for that to get 20% off and the bill still came to almost 500 for 3 months of contact lenses, plugs I did not want and other tests carried out without consent.

Such a pity to have to leave a review like this. It was my absolute favourite optician, but since it changed hands it has gone downhill massively.

I highly recommend David Faulder Opticians. As a long-time customer, I've always appreciated their thorough eye examinations. During my most recent visit, Shaf Mohamed’s expertise and detailed examination identified a serious issue that required immediate medical attention. Thanks to his clear explanation and guidance, I knew to take the necessary steps. Shaf referred me to a specialist, and the issue has since been resolved. Throughout the entire process, Shaf and the team at David Faulder provided outstanding support and advice, which I am truly grateful for.

My son sat on his only pair of glasses and bent the handles from the hing. It was Sunday and he was about to go on a week long school trip on Wednesday! We rushed in and the 2 ladies there were beyond helpful - they explained the risk that if they tried to straighten it may break the handle. But we're will to give it a go as long as we were okay with it.

They were busy so we left the glasses. Bless they worked on the glasses and slowly fixed them. Pheeew In my experience most others wouldn't have tried to fix as they they won't take the risk. Thank you sooo soo much

I highly recommend coming here to get a great pair of glasses. The service is excellent and my glasses have made such a difference in working comfortably at my office job. They were able to work with me on having my company pay them via invoice, which was much appreciated. Since my company was paying, I spent a good amount on the frames and lenses, which came with a blue light filter on them and extra durability.

I don't have terrible eyesight, just eyes that go blurry with screens. The woman who conducted my eye exam (again, expensive for very average earning office worker, but company was paying, so not bothered) was excellent and thorough, so much better than what I had gotten years ago at Specsavers. The only thing that was annoying was having to wait two long weeks for the glasses to arrive, but it was worth the wait, so I'm not too fussed.

Excellent service, very professional but also friendly and personal. Would not go anywhere else.

The staff are the BEST in London! Very friendly, excellent customer service, and they're willing to go above and beyond for their customers. I highly recommend this practice!

My first ever google review. I had to write this. In the last 10 years I've bought a pair of glasses every year. 10 different opticians and never been back to the same one twice. But I've found David Faulder now with his knowledgable staff and fantastic ranges and I'm going nowhere else. Getting glasses was always a chore never a pleasure all that has changed as I enjoyed a very personal shopping experience.

For less or more than a pound a day for something you have to wear every day you can't do better. From the range of glasses to range of glass in the glasses you could ask for no more. Helped along that tricky new glasses decision journey without fuss or stress or being pointed towards glasses that just are not you. I was brought over 30 pairs of glasses to try some of which brands and colours I would never have tried left to my own devices. Now I'm the owner of a gorgeous pair of reading glasses I don't mind wearing when I'm out with friends and a pair of fabulous driving sunglasses. All I need now is the sun.

I have been using David Faulders for years and I absolutely love it. They have impeccable service with lovely friendly staff! They always have the latest and trendiest frames and the best quality of lenses. The one thing I love about visiting this particular opticians is that I always get amazing advice from the staff, they don't try sell me things for the sake of it. I would recommend everyone to use David Faulders as their opticians!

I've been going to David's for about 9 years now and wouldn't ever go anywhere else. Service from all the staff is always second to none and David helped me finally get comfortable with contact lenses, something several previous opticians couldn't manage! The whole team are obviously very knowledgeable and always give a thorough eye health check each time, keeping photo records from each visit to track how your eyes are getting along. Well done all

As an over 50 year old accountant needing reading glasses I was struggling with lots of issues: 1. Finding my reading glasses! 2. Driving and reading my sat. nav. 3. Having meetings face to face, also referring to my computer and documents. I was either peering at my clients over my reading glasses or juggling them on and off David was sure his team could help and they patiently went through all the alternatives and came up with the solution that solved all my problems.

I can not recommend them highly enough. Even though I live in Maidstone Kent I would not go anywhere else Practice plan is also a convenient way to pay and ensures I get my eyes tested regularly
