I 'discovered' G T Harvey's by way of a recommendation from a family member. Their recommendation was fully justified. Every member of staff is both extremely professional and friendly. Eye examinations are very thorough; supported by a range of highly sophisticated machines which both detect any existing conditions but also help to identify potential problems before they arise. I can't recommend G T Harvey's enough and consider myself fortunate to have 'found' them.

I have been attending the the practice of G.T.Harvey and Partners for fifty two years which, in itself indicates a high rate of satisfaction. In the early years I was looked after by Mr.and Mrs. Harvey - both excellent professionals - and, since then, by Mr. Stuart Henderson. Mr. Henderson has examined my eyes for over thirty years and I have always trusted him completely.

Over this considerable time I have been referred to hospital, by the practice, on several occasions for further investigation and treatment. The professional skill and experience in detecting eye changes needing medical investigation is shown in a high level of care which has been given to me over the years and I really appreciate this. The staff working in the practice have always been friendly and courteous towards me and go out of their way to put one at ease. I would certainly recommend G.T.Harvey and Partners to anyone requiring an eye examination.

I have been a patient at GT Harvey for more years than I care remember from Mr Harvey to Mr Henderson who provides continuity of care, my family and me have had high quality professional treatment, I feel confident in Mr Henderson's care with up to date equipment also good supporting staff.

My whole family have been patients at G T Harvey for more than 30 years. The service is friendly, efficient and thorough. I have both glasses and contact lenses and have 6 monthly checks, appointments are easy to get and offer weekends and late afternoons. I feel listened to and treated as an individual. If you are concerned about your eyesight you are taken seriously. Stuart likes his technology and prides himself on having the most up to date diagnostic kit. I find this reassuring. The range of glasses is extensive and there is something for everyone. I cannot recommend them more highly.

This is undoubtedly the best ophthalmic practice in Newcastle upon Tyne. From this practice you get the best eye tests in town using some of the most modern equipment around, this includes one piece that is one of only 2 in use in the UK today (24/3/22). Don't make a spectacle of yourself, get the best eye test from the best! Eyes are important treat them as such, and they will repay you.

Great optician. However didnt tell me in advance that an additional scan during my initial consultation would cost around 75. Just did all the tests. then added that will be extra, OR you can join our pay monthly plan. Same happened to my son except he was asked to sign the forms for the plan as part of the "paperwork " - no explanation. They should tell you this before the consultation

The team are super professional and equally friendly. The eye assessments are second to none. The advice on frames I find invaluable. I have personally recommended to several friends who have all been equally pleased with the service.

G.T. Harvey & Partners helped me find my very first pair of spectacles at 42. Stuart carried out a very thorough eye test (my first in 15 years) and found the right prescription for me. It was a very personalised experience and the team helped me pick out frames that would fit, suit and be right for my needs. I'd highly recommend G.T. Harvey, especially if you haven't worn glasses before.

I've been going to G. T Harvey's since I was 8 years old. Stuart wasn't there then (he hadn't been born) I really enjoy my appointments and all the eye tests, they get more hi-tech every visit! I have always hated wearing glasses which amuses Stuart However the care and professional approach given by all staff is of such a high standard I wouldn't go anywhere else to get something I don't like

I had to attend the optician three times recently. I was nervous about going under these unusual circumstances. All of the staff at Harvey's made me feel comfortable and safe. I changed my optician a few years ago to Harvey's on recommendation from two friends who had been going there for years. My first appointment was very thorough and Stuart picked up my glaucoma which had been missed previously.

I have been a patient here for the last 15 years and find all the staff friendly and highly professional. The quality of care is outstanding and the service feels tailored to me as an individual. At my last visit, in July 2020, I found the arrangements in place given the current COVID situation very reassuring and well thought through. I felt comfortable having my eyes tested and choosing new lenses.

I sought out GT Harvey's Stuart Henderson based on the recommendation of some of his fellow professionals. I have a specific eye condition - aniseikonia - which others were unable or unwilling to treat. GT Harvey have invested in the latest diagnostic equipment and Stuart himself was interested and willing to spend time and energy to trial various solutions to my problem. I cannot recommend the practice highly enough.

I have regularly attended the practice for about twenty years. Stuart is consistently most helpful, professional and expert. I know that he is highly qualified and respected in connection with many aspects of eye care. I have great confidence that my eyes are well cared for. I also believe that the practice is excellently equipped with the latest testing and diagnostic equipment.

I use spectacles and contacts and the other staff including Jan, who is always ready to help with the contact lenses, and the receptionists are friendly and most efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice.

First time I've used Harveys. A small practice with very high level of customer care. I had the most thorough eye examination, with clear comprehensive feed-back throughout. But this practice also has 2 qualified and experienced dispensers whose advice and guidance is so invaluable. The dispenser spent more time with me than the eye examination took.

I know that proper dispensing is essential to get the full benefit of the initial examination, and Harveys gives an excellent dispensing service - well above any competition that I've experienced. My varifocals were not cheap because I selected expensive arms and lenses but I'm so delighted with the standards and service I received, so I rate this as excellent value-for-money. I recommend Harveys, very highly.
