Have use Querido & Davidson for many years now as have all my family. Fantastic, professional & knowledgeable service at all times and very accommodating to any requests. Would highly recommend to all.

Very professional and friendly, I was informed of every thing that the eye test included and also helped to make a choice regarding glasses. I have also recently called in with my grandsons broken glasses and they very kindly fixed them for me free of charge. I would definitely recommend.

As a family we have been with Querido & Davidson for over twelve years. Ian was amazing with introducing our young son to ortho-k lenses, as he played so much sport and was reluctant to wear glasses! Always a pleasure going and always feel confident in the advice and care given.

This company are by far the best opticians in Newcastle. My daughter required glades and after doing the normal rounds at the high street opticians and getting the same poor service we got recommended Querido & Davidson. Despite moving to London this month, I will be keeping Querido & Davidson as my optician, because I know I won't find better here. They are simply the best around, and quite easily worth the trip back to Newcastle for.

It is twenty miles for me to travel to Heaton but it is so worth it as I trust the excellent expertise of the staff at Q & D. Always a pleasure to be there.

I have been going to Querido and Davidson for well over 10 years. All the staff there are fabulous, giving excellent service at all times. They are always helpful with both contact lenses and glasses, they keep you updated with products and reminders. I have had several issues with my eyes, specifically dry eyes and John and the staff have provided answers and solutions to manage the condition very well. The service and commitment to their clients cannot be faulted.

I've used these guys since 2013! Nice and cool service. No hassle just easy. Some eye scoping equipment had been upgraded to the max which appeared to my punter eyes as pretty immense kit. Yes, I have had respectable cheaper tests at several different places but this is still the most thorough eye care that I have experienced. Thankfully my forty-something year old eyes are far from shot to pieces, so my prescription is straight forward. You'll leave with hopefully a clean bill of optical health, or at least the wheels will be fully in motion to address any needs you might have on that front.

I can highly recommend Q&D as we have been regulars here for many years. We are treated more like family than customers, and the service has always been first class. Thanks to John, my teenage son and I both use 'nighttime' lenses that give us such freedom from glasses. If the best eye care in the north east is what you want, look no more.

The best opticians in the North East, in-depth eye test in a Covid safe environment even if maintaining the means no coffee!. Every member of staff is a top quality professional, with a fantastic commitment to customer services. They may not be the cheapest for eyewear but they are the best.

My family has used this practise since from the 40s so I hane seen many changes. This partnership has given excellent treament and kept upgrading and knowlegde and equipment. Having manages to put essential oil in one eye at 5am instead of Hypromellise I d4cided mr Davison was bettere euipped than thecRVI emergency dept. Eye vastly improved. Will be making a appt soon I hope. The consultant is going to do a phone call asap!

Staff are very knowledgeable, always friendly and helpful. The cleanliness and hygiene standards are second to none, and always have been, however have stepped up even further since covid. I travel over 30 miles to Querido & Davidson due to their expertise and professionalism. Highly recommended

My son was asked to have a sight test after his visual screening at school. The optometrist Angela, really put my 4 year old at ease while conducting his first eye examination and made it a positive first experience for him. All staff were very welcoming and pleasant.

Absolutely brilliant opticians. Been here since I was a child and have never been elsewhere. The staff are so friendly and make you feel very welcome. There are also a huge range of specs to choose from as well as other products.

You always get a warm welcome and professional service from staff at Q&D, with a good range of spec's to choose from for us and our teenage children. I found that the staff were exceptional with regards to hygiene and implementing strict social distancing within their practice. I felt very safe, as their standards are are so high. Lovely staff and would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a good optician!

John and his team are fabulous. I have been a customer for many years and am always struck by how friendly, helpful and professional all the staff are. The OrthoK lenses that I use from them are not widely available and have transformed my life - 20/20 vision without the need to wear anything during the day - who knew this was possible?!

What a difference a local opticians makes, unlike the big impersonal corporate places the experience here is friendly, welcoming and personalised. Great advice and a really great choice of frames, I paid a little more than I had planned but got the perfect glasses and am very happy! After care is great too. I have been attending Querido & Davison for some years and would not look to go elsewhere. The practice is furnished with up to date equipment which saves me trips to hospital for scans. The range of eyewear available is fantastic and appears to suit all budgets. I personally have an eye care plan which is an affordable way of spreading payments for routine appointments over the course of a year.
John and Angela are professional in their approach; they listen and alleviate concerns and are always proactive if a second opinion is required, ie a hospital referral.

The team as a whole reflects a family feel in the practice. I always think it’s a good sign when you can retain staff over many years and this is certainly a plus for this practice. I would highly recommend this practice to people of all ages...my children love going!

Very personalised service. Always there at the end of the phone - not just when you have an appointment (even during lockdown). Only uses the best lens makers so not the cheapest but always really excellent.
