Bellamy Optician

Bellamy Eyecare has been the optician used by several members of our family for many years. This is testament to the first class service and customer care provided by all of the staff, who are always welcoming, helpful and professional. Mr Bellamy takes the utmost care with regard to his customers' sight and eye health. Mr Bellamy provided ongoing help and advice after our late father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and his prescription became more complex.

Mr Bellamy has also taken great care with our sister who has various sight and eye health issues. It is so unusual to receive reliable and person centred care and service these days so we really appreciate that provided by Mr Bellamy and his staff.

I've never been treated so well by any other opticians. (Apologies, all previous eye care helpers) From the enquiry phone call, to the friendliest welcome in person, the detailed excellence of the eye test and the receiving and fitting of my new glasses, (with the staff at Leicester Bellamy Eyecare having tracked down a style of specs I have been unable to get, despite trying for thirty years), I was also treated so well and felt welcomed, calm, and lucky to be honest. After being recommended to me I visited Bellamys to discuss contact lenses. From the first visit to walking away with my lenses, the helpfulness and service from all the staff was fabulous. I would highly recommend Bellamys to anyone thinking about glasses or contact lenses. Pay them a visit first.

Highly recommended with nice friendly knowledgable staff, this was my first visit to an opticians, eye test done and in my case two pairs of glasses delivered in two days, excellent service.

I made an eye test appointment with Bellamy Eyecare as I was having eye problems. I was seen by Alan who carried out various tests and scans and then explained the results in very simple terms. Alan ruled out any ongoing issues, which was very reassuring to hear. The eye scan isn't available as part of the usual NHS eye test but it's definitely worth getting the additional scan which can detect any serious issues at an earlier stage, or in my case rule them out thankfully.

I would recommend Bellamy Eyecare for a professional and very friendly service. From the desk staff to the opticians, they seem to be a very well run business. Thanks again to Alan and his staff!

I had my eye examination a couple of weeks ago and was very pleased with the service. It was very good as usual. Everyone took their time with me and after Tracy's through testing I was helped to choose my new glasses. I wasn't rushed at all which was very helpful as I didn't feel I had to make a rushed decision. Thank you everyone and I love my new well fitting glasses.

Absolutely outstanding customer service from all employees working at Bellamy's! I felt like I have been listened to my requirements and as my eyes are a very sensitive subject to me I was very happy with the understanding I received. There was a very specific style of frames I wanted to get, so I have been asked to show an examples to Bellamy's. They organised frames to be transferred from the other branch for me to try before I buy.

Also made a special order requirement for me from their supplier about the colours I like! I really appreciate that extra mile they made to make me happy! Bellamy's team made me becoming their permanent customer from now on. I no longer looking for other opticians and certainly won't visit high street ones again as the experience I received here as a customer was excellent and I can't express enough how professional and at the same time friendly manner they run this place! They even gave me a constructive feedback on the frames I tried on to make sure I won't buy ones which won't suit me. And always offered me coffee!

I recently had my eyes tested and it was a really enjoyable experience. Every one who served me was very warm and friendly. When I was selecting my frames I was served by Claire who was extremely attentive and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions in a really understandable manner- no jargon but still extremely professional. I would give more than 5 stars if I were able to based on Claire's level of service.

My glasses are really different and I love them.they have some really beneficial extras which I would highly recommend speaking to Claire and getting her advice on suitability- they have really transformed my vision! Thanks again!

I had my first eye examination and sight test at Bellamy Eyecare 2 years ago. I wish I had found the place years ago! Alan succeeded where others had failed in sorting out multifocal contact lenses that actually work for me. He is as friendly and approachable as he is thorough, and all the staff are very pleasant and efficient. I've just been back for an annual check up and new glasses and am delighted with the results. I thoroughly recommend Bellamy Eyecare.

I can't recommend Bellamy Eyecare highly enough. When examining my eyes, Tracey was extremely thorough, and patiently took her time when exploring different options with me to ensure my needs were being met. After her assessment, Tracey's detailed and knowledgeable advice left me feeling confident and reassured; I am now looking forward to receiving my second pair of glasses from her. It was tricky deciding on my new frames as there are so many lovely ones to choose from! Thank you, Tracey.

I cannot recommend Tracy and her team at Bellamy's enough. Having suffered with frequent eye strain and headaches Tracy put herself out to see me during her own lunch break to diagnose my problem! I have loved this opticians since the day i found them, beautiful service, very thorough and caring and make you feel comfortable x The team are amazing its a joy to visit for my eye check ups or to purchase new glasses x I have never had any problems and they were absolutely outstanding at handling the pandemic and making sure you were still able to be since if any issues arose.

My husband and I are so glad Bellamy Eyecare was recommended to us by a friend some years ago. Alan Bellamy makes you feel very welcome and we have complete confidence in him. All the staff are friendly and helpful and we wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

Excellent service & support from the team. Very thorough eye test including scan & great diagnosis. I was served by Claire, she was great! Really helped me in picking out some nice glasses, after trying on literally all of them in the shop! There's a good selection. The team are professional yet very friendly and welcoming. I was recommended by my hubby who also was extremely happy with their service and products. They also have good eye are plans for you to choose. I saved around 121 by going on the supreme eyecare plan (can't remember the exact name).

I have been a customer at Bellamy Eyecare for many years. I needed driving glasses and was very impressed by Alans professional attention to my eyesight problems. When I collected the glasses I was delighted by the improvement when I was driving. Regular check-ups with what is obviously the ultimate equipment keep everything in order now. A lovely small family firm. I have been a loyal customer of Bellamys for well over 20 years, starting out with Alan at their Leicester branch, then moving over to see his wife Tracey at the Irthlingborough branch when I relocated to the area. I have found their service to be professional and consistent. Tracey and her assistant, Cheryl, are always in good spirits even in hard times.

It is a pleasure to be their customer. I don't need to choose my glasses because they know exactly what I like and choose them for me. I often receive compliments about my glasses. Over the years, I have found my glasses to be durable, of an excellent quality and sometimes I just change the lenses and keep the frames because I like them so much. Bellamy's are very welcoming of ethnic minorities and those from the LGBTQ communities.

They are also experienced with supporting those with a hearing impairment. They are conscientious about disabilities and I am aware they have tried to make adjustments to the property but the steps to the backroom is a barrier which they are aware of. I don't usually provide Google reviews and this is my first because Bellamy's have earned it!

I have been going to Bellamy Eyecare ever since they opened. However I had been with the previous owners of the practice since I was 12 years of age. I am now 72. I am really impressed with the friendly and extremely professional service that is given by Alan and his staff. I will always be indebted to Alan for the care he has recently given to me by explaining things in such detail and making sure I understood fully what he was telling me. Thank you all for everything.

I drive from Warwickshire to have my eye and contact lense checks with this opticians practice as Alan Bellamy is always extremely thorough with eye checks and his expertise as an optician really is second to none! Bellamy Eyecare is a local independent opticians providing a first class service. The staff spend time making sure your needs are fully met, explaining each step of the process and the results of your examination. You are not pressured to buy - if the change in a prescription lens is minimal they will advise you there is no need to change glasses unless you want to. Consequently when they recommend a change you know you need it!

The staff then help you to select exactly the right frames for your new glasses. Turn round time on a new order is quick and aftercare is brilliant. The complimentary lens cleaner and free top-ups are a nice touch. Highly recommended.

My family have been going to Bellamy Eyecare for many years and have always had amazing service. Recently my 7 year old was prescribed glasses and his eyes began to get worse quite quickly. Mr Bellamy came up with these amazing lenses that my son wears overnight and he has 20/20 vision during the day! We are now trialling them. How amazing! My son is a little lively to say the least but Mr Bellamy is so patient.

Even the receptionist is so friendly. I can't recommend this opticians enough and I hope we will continue to experience their friendly, enthusiastic, thoughtful and child friendly service for many more years to come.

I've been coming to Bellamy's opticians for years now and am always pleased with the service. My previous optician made me have check ups more often than i needed and always insisted i needed new glasses even though my prescription didn't seem to change. Needless to say I changed and I'm so glad i did. Staff at Bellamy's are always polite and really helpful. It's a great family business where you are valued.
