Good vision is essential in childhood development and regular eye examinations are the key to good vision. Research has shown that one in five school children have an undetected eye problem. As 80% of a child's learning occurs visually, many children cannot see well enough to reach their full potential or enjoy everyday childhood activities as much as they could.
Very professional and friendly. They also go the extra mile such as straightening glasses which have fallen into the hands of toddlers! Took mum for her eyes checking yesterday. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The lady doing the eye test was extremely courteous and helpful to my mum, putting her at ease, taking time to make sure everything was right.
At Moorhouse Opticians we are part of an NHS funded scheme commonly known as MECS (Minor Eye Conditions Service). We provide an assessment and, in many cases, treatment for people with recently occurring minor eye problems. During the assessment you will see one of our qualified Optometrists and they will advise you on the best course of action.
When performing eye examinations at Moorhouse Opticians we take our time, listen carefully to our patients, and give the best advice possible to suit individual patient needs. All aspects of the examination are performed by one of our fabulous Optometrists. During the Eye Examination the health of your eyes and quality of vision are equally important, therefore we take much longer than most high street opticians in the consulting room.
