A professional and friendly small practice, the attention is first rate. I was recommended by a friend who is a dispensing optician because they stock Silhouette frames which are no longer available at Vision Express. They are a bit more expensive but the expense is well worth it.

After chronically unsatisfied by my glasses from a high street shop, I decided to try Taank. What a revelation! The thorough eye exams by Anjana is reassuring followed by selection of frames aided by Leanne, pure professionalism. It's clear that Taank has excellent instruments and a great selection of frames but it's the way they treat the customers which really stands out.

I feel my concerns and needs were listened to and the advises were customized to address my requirement. While choosing frames, Leanne has been incredibly patient and knowledgeable about which frames could fit me. And she took the time to make sure that my frames fit on my face properly. In fact my overall customer experience is just impeccable, from pre-sale to post-sale.

The Taank staff are courteous, responsive and not pushy (big thanks to everyone!). I am super pleased with my new glasses. I see well and they fit comfortably (finally) on me. I highly encourage you to give Taank a go especially if your previous optician experience is less than satisfactory.

After struggling for years with blurred vision, dry eye, eyestrain and migraines finally I decided to invest in me and try a more expensive option. The health of my eyes has improved substantially with Anjana expertise, professionalism and good care. She got my prescription spot on. If you can afford them, high quality glasses make a difference. My vision is clearer and and more accurate in almost all distances and sunlight intensities. Really happy with the service. The best place to go if you want to explore stylish well-chosen frames. I have ended up with a couple of styles I wouldn't have thought of trying and am delighted with them. Probably not for you if you want low-input service and low-cost frames, but where glasses are a style choice for you Taank cannot be beaten. Kate has a real eye for frame styles, colours and shapes.

My experience at Taak Optometrist has been excellent in all aspects I can think of. From the eye test, thorough and well explained, to the fitting and stylist advice, every step exceeded my expectations. When I got an appointment and was I was served on time, professionally and kindly. An excellent experience all around.

10 January, 2022 Where to begin? We had been reasonably happy with our choice of various optometrists over the years but when "our" optometrist moved on to work in a nearby hospital, we asked locally for recommendations. There were plenty of suggestions but nothing that appealed, many seeming just the same as we had previously experienced. As our eye health was now becoming more of an issue, we were looking for something better.

A bit of "googling" online, brought up some intriguing reviews of Taank Optometrists in Cambridge. So we took the plunge, even though it involved a 30-mile trip and travelling along Mill Road with it's then seemingly ever-present roadworks. Having read about a mobile surgery, forced upon the practice due to a fire which damaged their shop and several adjacent buildings, our first appointments were in that mobile surgery (a "pop-up luxury cabin" as advertised).

This was in early Covid lockdown. Despite this, we were so very impressed with the family "feel", the efficient teamwork and the warm welcome. For the first time in many years, such an appointment was a pleasure not a chore and we felt cared for and cared about. Since our prescriptions changed on that visit, we were put in the capable hands of Leanne who could not have done more to support us in our choice of glasses.

This experience with Leanne was a revelation. In the past, we had not been very much impressed with our dispensing opticians, who seemed more geared to selling rather than guiding us to a good choice. Any adjustments to the glasses were referred to a technician. At Taank, Leanne would, with infinite patience, guide the choices and make multiple adjustments until we were entirely happy.

The new premises are wonderful! The presentation in the shop window is imaginative, the interior decor is congenial; an oasis of calm. In short, the whole pleasurable experience is one of quality. Incredibly nice and professional staff! I needed the nose piece replaced on my sunglasses, and Leigh Anne replaced them expeditiously, even tightened up loose screws around my sunglasses to ensure they were in top top condition! After the repair, she refused to charge me! I will definitely be back to buy a new pair of sunglasses from Taank!

I have just collected my 3 pairs of glasses (prescription sunglasses, reading glasses which were much needed & long distance set). I'm delighted with the thoroughly professional service I have had - from the eye test to the 1:1 personal shopping experience for the glasses to the collection and final fitting. Superb! It is truly a bespoke personalised experience.

Rather than feeling overwhelmed by walls of glasses in other stores, I advise you to come to Taank Opticians where your use, needs and personal preferences of glasses are discussed and you are then selected specific types to try on & Leanne will then give gentle feedback of how they suit your face shape & personal style. A joyful experience from start to finish. I went with the intention of purchasing glasses that were unique, stylish and actually look good on me. It was obvious to me beforehand that this was going to be a premium service, I think the appearance of the shop and the website give this impression. I can say you get what you pay for. The service was fantastic with polite and kind staff.

The shop is airy and bright and not overcrowded. They made me feel that they were actually interested in me and my requirements and took time to talk to me and get to know me. The frame selection and fitting is a 1:1 service which is unnerving at first because I wondered what would happen if I didn't find something I liked. It turns out they are really good at this and it was a lot of fun trying on the frames from the really lovely selection on offer and receiving some genuine helpful feedback on how they suited me. I came away absolutely thrilled with my purchase.

The Taank Team were recommended to me, and provided a thorough, professional and streamlined optometry appointment, and an excellent consultation on frames. They were very patient with my indecisiveness in choosing a new pair of glasses! Really friendly team that helped me pick out some fabulous glasses that I have had a quite a few compliments on! Exam was thorough and my optometrist explained what he's was doing all the way through. Well worth the price and they have a customer for life!

Honestly the best opticians I have ever been too. They are all super friendly and I was treated with the utmost patience when choosing my frames! A very thorough eye exam, which considering these strange times did not feel too awkward with the extra precautions in place. A great range of frames and fab advice. I won't lie that it was more pricey that what I usually pay at a high street chain, but I felt that was reflected in the experience and quality of products. If it's an option for you, I recommend giving Taank a go!
