Services
Our family-owned practice was first established by David Arnold F.B.C.O in 1966 and has been providing the best possible vision care for our patients here in Ashton on Mersey, Sale. Our practice is housed in stylish, spacious premises, conveniently located a mile from Sale town centre with plenty of free public parking.
Using the finest quality lenses is not enough. Just as important is the knowledge and experience of the optometrist and dispensing optician to take any measurements accurately and recommend the most suitable lenses for your eye prescription and the frame you choose. The final step is for the optometrist or dispensing optician to correctly fit the frames to your patients face and then check your vision with our charts to ensure that you see what you should be seeing!Obviously the size and shape of your face are important, but more critical is the correct interpretation of your prescription.
We have extensive experience in fitting and managing all types of contact lenses for our patients. We manage all types of eye conditions; short and longsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia requiring multifocal lenses. Mr Patel's many years of experience in dealing with challenging cases enables him to look after patients of all levels of complexity from high myopes and hypermetropes (extreme short and long sightedness) to those with rare eye conditions such as keratoconus or those who have undergone corneal surgery; for example corneal transplants or laser eye surgery.
We advise that children should have their first eye examination at around three years old. Learning difficulties can sometimes be caused by uncorrected vision problems so the earlier they are be detected the better the chance of correcting them. Your child's sight is precious. 1 in 5 children have an undetected eye problem, often accompanied by warning signs such as sitting too near to the television, or holding a book close up.

When you visit David Arnolds opticians all the staff are superb, the two ladies who work in the front of the shop are so pleasant, helpful, and make you feel so relaxed about what could be a stressful experience. Mr Patel the Optician makes you feel at home and handles the test in a relaxed but efficient manner. The whole experience leaves you feeling totally satisfied that you received the best treatment possible.

Very professional team. I've been visiting David Arnold Opticians for a number of years now. Always found the team friendly helpful, and knowledgeable. I recently had to wear glasses, Kishore who leads the team took his time helping me find the right glasses for me. Really impressed with the care and attention they give you I would highly recommend them.
