We will contact you as soon as we have an appointment available for your needs. The last 15 years have seen a remarkable change in the way people are living their lives and many of us are now spending in excess of six hours a day staring at either a computer screen, mobile phone or television. Not surprisingly, this places increased stress on our eyes, which may lead to blurred vision or dry eye.
Under 16-year olds sight tests are free under the NHS General Ophthalmic Services and if spectacles are required, they will receive a voucher towards the cost of the spectacles. Having a sight test can seem a daunting experience as a child but you can put your mind to rest that your child will receive the care and attention they deserve from our Optometrists and practice staff alike.
10 children and young people are diagnosed each week in the UK and early diagnosis can improve the outcome. Diagnosing a brain tumour is not easy and the initial symptoms may mimic those of less serious illnesses. Any child or young person with symptoms that are unusual for him or her, or are persistent or unexplained, should be seen by a GP.
