The optician is very friendly and always takes time to explain everything he is viewing and all your options. So far I have been twice and both times I have been very happy with the service and the prescription. The team are also great when making appointments to find a time that suits you and sending reminders before the appointment. JH 20/05/22

I have been going to Rawlings in Purley for over 45 years and have received consistently high standards of care and service throughout that time. The staff have always been fantastic, automatically going the extra mile in terms of providing a personal service. I wouldn't trust anyone else to prescribe my contact lenses and am confident that with their advanced technology and regular testing my eyecare is in safe hands. Last Visit 30.05.22

Had what I thought was an emergency so called Moorfields. I've been under their care for several years but they said that I would have to go to another optician and I chose Rawlings in Purley. I can truthfully say that they were excellent. The examination which was performed by Mr. Simon Callaghan was very detailed and to my delight, the condition that I have was not escalating but instead I needed a stronger prescription. Thanks so much to Rawlings and all it's staff for taking a weight off my mind.

I went to Rawlings to ask for help regarding my eye, having been unable to obtain an appointment with a GP, no success with NHS 111 and to be honest very little expectation of being successful but I couldn't have been more wrong. The lady who I first spoke to was incredibly helpful, took full details and promised to call if they were able to see me as an emergency which they did.

I received a full examination, carried out with care, everything explained to me in terms I understood, a referral made to the hospital Eye clinic whilst I was there and I have an appointment there tomorrow. The professionalism of the staff coupled with the compassion, understanding and kindness has been outstanding and I cannot thank them enough.

I selected Rawlings to check me for possible glaucoma when recommended to do so by my regular optician via my doctor. After two visits, 6 months apart, comprising very thorough tests and inspections, using state-of-the-art equipment I was given an all-clear for the time-being. On both occasions all the staff were extremely efficient, thorough, professional and friendly. I was given the opportunity to see both sets of scans for side-by-comparison, accompanied by detailed and professional explanation. I was very impressed.

I have been with Rawlings Opticians for a few years now and have always had exceptional service from them. Reception are welcoming and friendly, the service professional and thorough and I feel very looked after every time I visit the practice. Your eyes are very important so you want to make sure you are getting the best care possible, so give Rawlings a call and book that appointment.

They manage my contact lenses and glasses and have a state of the art eye scanner which really does give you an in depth view of those optic nerves - something you don't get to see (pardon the pun) every day!.

I was referred to Rawlings by the NHS for further investigations following the detection of possible glaucoma. My visit to Rawlings went smoothly with all procedures and subsequent results clearly explained and carried out. There was a little confusion when I first arrived, this was apparently caused by a change in staff due to sick leave.

Previously I used large national opticians, but I had a bad experience with two pairs of specs, I had ordered. I went back to Rawlings, Purley. The staff are helpful and I feel comfortable with the advice and care I get. Especially as I have some issues with my eyes. I would recommend the service. LM 31/12/2021

Really friendly staff. Made my son feel special getting his first pair of glasses.

I am very happy with how Rawlings has been looking after my eye health over the last few years. As I have come to expect, the reception and technical staff were all very welcoming and helpful at my latest visit on 24 November to have some new glasses fitted. These glasses are meeting my requirements very well. As a Rawlings Plan member I know that I can get expert support and advice whenever I need.

Opticians and reception team are always super helpful and approachable. Easy to get an appointment and if anything needs changing (contact lenses, broken kids glasses etc, ) this is always easily done. Highly recommend

Been back here, and the Customer Service was a complete disgrace! I spent nearly 400 and when I went in again the staff didn't not even welcome me! Very rude optician spoke to me about prices, then asked me to get up from his desk as he'd other Customers! Will never return here. Once they get your money, they will be rude next time!

I'm a long standing patient of RO in purley and have always received excellent care, from Simon and all the team, delivered in an efficient and friendly manner. Visits are always a good and satisfying experience.

After having my eyes tested at my local Opticians, it was suggested I should have further tests done and Rawlings was one of the Opticians recommended to me to do the tests, It was a pleasent experience. My eyes were thoughly looked at twice, photographs were taken of the back of my eyes and the optician fully explained the findings. To my relief it was Macular degeneration (MD). I will in the future be using Rawlings and I can highly recommend them. Linda Hook

Simon was excellent when I went to see him on 6 October for a cataract referral he took time to explain the procedure and given me choice where I can have my cataract surgery i could not decide at that time and wanted some time to decide. He agreed after I made my decision I contacted him he informed me he sent the referral straight away of my chosen hospital i am very pleased with his excellent service

Been going there since 2006, find staff friendly with an excellent attitude discuss about my eye examination and choose which spectacles to wear. Good communication face to face, same goes with emails.

My 9 year old daughter has been going to Rawlings in Purley for a number of years. The staff are friendly and helpful, and clearly very good with children. I particularly love how they help her choose her own frames, she feels special and grown up. I have no hesitation in recommending them.
