Established in 1979, the current practice as Saxby's Eyecare has been in place since 2013 with the same staff. We specialise in quality of service and a broad range of frames, lenses and contact lenses to meet every patient's needs.Our reputation for quality of service is second to none and we regularly see new patients referred as a result of our service.
We have available modern and up to date equipment to enable us to diagnose most eye problems. Our standard eye examination includes the use of a fundus camera and an extended eye examination includes the use of an OCT camera which provides enhanced images of the retina.
Our frames include the economical to the designer labels supplied by the countries leading providers. Our lenses are available from several suppliers depending on the specific needs of a patient. The same is true for contact lenses.
We have regular dry eye clinics.
As an Eye plan associate we can offer an alternative method of payment that suits many of our patients.

Following an assessment of your previous history and discussion of your present situation and any symptoms, the eye examination will then usually include the following elements and tests to aid our professional assessment of your visual requirements.
Retinoscopy; Refraction; Ophthalmoscopy;
Digital Photography of the front and back of the eye
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) ; Electronic Visual Fields; Intra-ocular Pressure
