With the help of various tradesmen and friends we gutted, renovated and redecorated a Grade II listed building, which was our first premises. Obtaining the building next door in 1996, we expanded the practice to have a downstairs consulting room. Jonathan graduated from Aston University and came third in the country for his outstanding performance in the Professional Qualifying Examinations winning the Colebrook Prize.
This is equivalent to an optical ultrasound. It takes a cross-section picture of your retina, the light-sensitive tissue lining at the back of the eye. It is an established and accurate technique to view the inside of a patient's eye non invasively. Sadly, over the last few years we have started to see increasing number of children developing short slightness, also called myopia.
This occurs when light focuses in front of the retina and causes a blur in the distance. It often develops during the early teenage years and is often noticed when the blackboard becomes difficult to read. This occurs when the eye naturally can't focus light onto the retina and its point of focus is behind the retina.
Is it true that wearing glasses all the time will make my eyes lazy and I will become dependent on them? No. unless specifically told that you can by your optometrist. Sleeping in your lenses can be hazardous as it can lead to infection or damage to the cornea (front window of the eye). There are practical steps that VDU users can take to help the problem, pop in for a free leaflet.

The standard of care and equipment is exemplary. Tom is professional, kind and explains thoroughly all the procedures and findings for the OCR test which I receive due to medication that I take. Their staff are all courteous and welcoming with COVID safety paramount. This has been a tough year for local businesses, and I would highly recommend using this optometrist.

I and my wife have both recently had an eye test at Jonathan Partridge in Welshpool and provision of glasses. They have state of the art equipment and the examination was comprehensive. The provision of the spectacles was excellent with very good advice and service. I have no hesitation in saying that they are first class and would unreservedly recommend them

Excellent customer service, everyone was friendly, efficient and professional. Covid security was extremely good and I felt safe in their environment. Had my eyes tested on Tuesday, received a text to say my new specs were ready for collection the next day and collected them today Thursday. Thank you all.

I have nothing but praise for the excellent and professional service provided. I was unaware of my cataract issues until Tom identified them and I was promptly referred for the straightforward operations which were swiftly performed. A new prescription followed and Beverley expertly guided me to a good choice of new spectacles - even f the cost shook me a bit!

Excellent Service. We first visited twelve months ago for tests and new glasses. Totally professional from start to finish. Slight problems with one of the frames after twelve months nothing was to much trouble replaced frame immediately. Would highly recommend this opticians Certainly 5 STAR QUALITY.
