We are specialists in contact lenses, from standard prescriptions to complex conditions, we are passionate about lenses and believe, in many cases, they can have a life-changing effect. Our team of expert optometrists continue to be the most knowledgeable in the country regarding specialist contact lenses, and with over 200 lens types available, we are confident that we will find a lens to suit you. Due to the huge range of lenses we prescribe, we can almost always find a contact lens to suit your requirements.
Ocular surface disease, or dry eye, occurs when we either have too few tears or, more commonly, when we have enough tears but they are of poor quality. At Cameron Optometry, we have specialist experience in treating 'dry' eyes. We see many patients who have suffered with the effects of dry eye for many years and who have tried and failed to relieve their symptoms.

Visited a couple of weeks ago with my 8 year old and 4 year old. Was really struck by the friendliness of the staff the minute we walked in - really made us all, kids included, feel welcome. The appointment itself was also carried out in a very child-friendly way. Seems to be a company that really cares about people, which you don't always get nowadays sadly

I have been a client of Cameron Optometry for almost 50 years. I am now in my early 70's and my corrected vision is excellent. I am a painter and a birdwatcher and I am also very deaf so my eyesight is very precious. I have always felt that the team working here have taken great care to optimise my chances of seeing well. Over fifty years I have seen steady progress in the technology available to diagnose eye problems.
Not only have this firm always been in the forefront but they always explained the processes really well and also any choices available. Over the fifty years I have seen only 4 Optometrists so great continuity of care. Recently on their advice I have had a cataract removed and a new contact lens prescribed to correct astigmatism. I cannot describe how thrilled I am at my sparkling new vision. Grateful thanks to all.

Extremely professional, friendly, and knowledgeable staff who go out of their way to put you at ease. Most comfortable waiting room I've ever been in, and the staff were kind enough to offer me a coffee, which was a nice touch. I've got a couple of very stylish frames from them, and will be coming back for more!

The level of care and expertise I have experienced here has been invaluable to my recovery from an accident leaving me blind in one eye. I can be a very anxious client and all the opticians here are very patient and understanding of my specific needs and worries and I am always put at ease and leave reassured. Very thankful for all their support and would recommend highly - especially if you find eye examinations daunting and difficult.

I have been coming for a few years with a relative who has learning difficulties and also problems with mobility. She receives a warm welcome, all of the staff are kind and friendly and her eye test is carried with skill and patience, and she is never rushed. In spite of her limitations, the Optometrist was also successfully able to take photos of the back of her eyes.
The lady from the dispensing team listened to her preferences when helping her to choose new glasses and brought her a lovely selection of frames to choose from. The whole experience is a pleasure for her and one she is always keen to attend (which is not always the case with other appointments!).

One of the best Optometry experiences I have ever had. Cameron's genuinely care about your eye health. The environment is relaxing and I got a broader range of tests than I have ever experienced. IIwas offered a tea or coffee while I waited, but wouldn't have had time to drink it as I was seen very quickly. Claire (the optometrist) took me through every test and explained what they were to designed to detect, and what she looks for in the results. They were honest with my options and never pressured me to buy anything. Fairly priced for the treatment I received. Will most definitely be returning.

The most comprehensive eye exam and contact lens check I've had. State of the art equipment used at every stage which is light years ahead of the big chains. Service is friendly to put at ease but professional enough to give confidence. Genuinely different offering of frames too with some unique styles to choose from. Very happy and would highly recommend.
