Bartlett and Austin Optometrists are a Farnham based independent practice specialising in high quality eye care. The practice caters for all aspects of eye care which includes eye examinations and the supply and fitting of all types of spectacles and contact lenses. Our examination is carried out exclusively by fully qualified experienced practitioners and covers every aspect of eye care from the basic refraction (determining your prescription) to a full retinal examination, all taking approximately 40 minutes.

Bartlett and Austin is a family run independent practice established over 90 years ago and has always aimed to provide a tradition of the highest professional standards of eye care, for everyone. Jayne has been an optometrist for 30 years in both local private practice and at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
We stock a wide variety of frames to suit all tastes and budgets. We know how important it is for your spectacles to look good, so we are always happy to discuss styles and colours of frames until you are happy with your choice. We currently stock frames from Calvin Klein, Police, Nike, Silhouette, Ted Baker, Minima, Chloe, Hackett, Valentino, Rodenstock and Nike as well as many others.
With the very latest advances in technology, we are able to offer all our patients the ultimate in contact lens comfort and convenience to suit their lifestyle. As well as fitting conventional contact lenses we specialise in more complicated or unusual prescriptions including working closely with Frimley Park Hospital Ophthalmic department.
Both Jayne Townsend and Jan Peplow are fully qualified GOC registered optometrists. They conduct very thorough eye examinations using state of the art equipment, to establish both the patient's eye sight and the health of the eye. Deterioration in eyesight can be gradual and often goes unnoticed, but a regular eye examination at Bartlett and Austin will ensure that your eyes are receiving the best possible care. We can detect any early signs of an eye condition so that it can be dealt with promptly and effectively.
