The Optician

We offer personalised home visits to carry out eye examinations both privately and through the NHS. We use the latest portable eye testing equipment to provide the same standard of test that you would expect in our High Street practice. Our experienced and friendly Optician will examine your eyes not only to check your prescription but also to monitor the general health of your eyes which can be an important indicator of other medical issues.

If you are over 60 years of age and unable to travel to a High Street Optician you qualify for a free eye examination at home.

Our thorough test will assess all your optical requirements to give you the best advice possible. Should you wish to have new spectacles we will help you choose a suitable frame and advise on ther correct lenses for you.

Your spectacles will be carefully made in our own dedicated production facility, delivered and fitted professionally in your own home by our experienced dispenser.

We are pleased to announce that we are now happy to see all our customers for all their optical needs. We are still taking extra safety measures including face masks, cleaning between appointments and restricting the number of people in the practice at any one time but we feel we are in a much safer place to invite people into the practice.

Our customers appreciate that we are far removed from the 'production line' world of the multiple optician chains; we provide them with a caring, professional service - personal attention that's combined with value for money. Our small shop front in the High Street belies a much bigger interior complete with extensive displays of spectacle frames and two consulting rooms, including one dedicated to contact lenses. We offer eye examinations for spectacles, contact lenses, reading aids and many other purposes.
