At Ramsden Opticians we have invested in the latest technology to allow us to carry out fully comprehensive eye examinations at a safe distance. Our scanning equipment allows us to take an ultrasound scan of the underlying retinal layers, making us much more efficient at analysing changes in disease progression and aiding early diagnosis. Our optometrists are skilled and have both the experience and enhanced qualifications required to look after our patient's eyes, from childhood through to later years.

At Ramsden Opticians we specialise in premium lenses, but can provide lenses for every budget. After your sight test we will take the time to establish your optical needs according to your lifestyle and discuss the best lens options for you. If your prescription is high we will offer you the opportunity to upgrade the refractive index to achieve the best cosmetic effect.
At Ramsden Opticians we believe that everyone has the right to whatever form of optical correction they prefer. If you prefer freedom from spectacles for sports or social wear there is generally a type of contact lens to suit. If you prefer a more permanent form of visual correction such as Laser Surgery or lens extraction we can point you in the right direction and co-manage your care after you have had the procedure. Our Optometrists have many years experience recommending and fitting all types of contact lens.

I went to get my eyes tested at Ramsden opticians a coup;e of weeks ago and wanted to comment about how good a service i got. The optician (Orla) was very thorough. I have been to Specsavers and other independent opticians before but not had a great experience. Orla seemed to go through everything, and was very professional. She also made me really comfortable. The reception staff were also great, and there was an excellent choice of frames and at reasonable prices. I got some Ray Ban sunglasses too which were on offer.
