Mr Ferrier founded our company under the name of John Ferrier Optometrist in Kinross and Lochee in 1988. Four years later, John Ferrier Jr and Charles MacKinnon qualified as optometrists and Ferrier & MacKinnon was born. Initially we had three practices in Lochee, Kinross and Burntisland. The Dunfermline practice opened in 1996 when Colin Ferrier joined the company.
If you don't qualify, our standard examination fee is 50. Most people will be eligible, but if you're not sure just contact us and we'll be happy to help. For only 9.20 per month, you can enjoy comprehensive contact lens care with our experienced optometrists. Regular check-ups ensure you always have clear vision and exceptional comfort from your contact lenses. These are normally charged at 50 per appointment.
The practice is situated in the centre of town, and there is plenty free parking available nearby and in the streets. The parking limit is 60 minutes on the high street, although longer in adjacent streets. There are two bus stops on the High Street within a minutes walk from the practice, connecting you with Aberdour & Dalgety Bay, or Kinghorn & Kirkcaldy.
The practice is on the main High Street in Cowdenbeath and there is free parking just round the corner in Stenhouse Street. There are bus stops on the High Street directly outside the practice in both directions, serving buses to/from Crossgates & Hill of Beath and Lumphinnans, Lochgelly, Ballingry and beyond.
