We tailor each and every eye examination to your individual requirements, taking into account our clinical findings, your family history and any problems you may be experiencing. We then spend the time to discuss the results with you, ensuring you have a better understanding of you own ocular health. We have the very latest technology to detect eye problems as soon as possible including an Optomap Digital Eye Scanner. We became one of the first Opticians in Scotland to invest in this cutting-edge technology and are currently the only Practice in Falkirk to have one. The Optomap allows us to get an ultra wide view of your retina that traditional methods fail to provide. The number of eye diseases that have been detected in their early stages with this technology is staggering. Detecting eye conditions early is imperative to allow accurate early treatment and sometimes even prevent these conditions occurring at all.

What a fantastic service Tom and all the staff at McMahon's offer. We (me, my husband and son) were there yesterday and all got ours eyes tested and chose new glasses. Such friendly, knowledgable staff, who couldn't do enough for us, despite COVID restrictions. We would highly recommend getting your next eye test here as they are so thorough and put you at ease. Great experience!

If you live in Central Scotland and require eye care then give T.A. McMahon Optometrists in Falkirk a visit or book a consultation. My family have been customers of the practice for many years. We have always received friendly and professional consultation and advice. Should we require new glasses etc we have always found quality and affordable frames. I would recommend you give this practice a visit.

I felt the eye exam was thorough and the optician advised and answered my questions. Reassuringly high levels of skill and experience, with a friendly approach. It's a local independent business with a personalised service, so you dont feel you're being 'processed'. Much better than the various high street chains I've visited in the past.

Only 'INDEPENDENT' opticians left in Falkirk! Standard and detail to care superlative. I am an 'individual' client. I have a unique identity and treated as such. This not an 'eye examination', it's 'excellence' in action! Found something wrong with the left eye however, not happy with one test, called me back and performed THREE more to confirm his findings, but started immediate referral to hospital after suspicions on the first examination.
Beat that! The staff have been in that shop for years, and yes it shows. It's high end professional service from everyone. My new prescription for my daily glasses? Spotted a fivepence piece on the ground at ten metres! Well, not quite, but I think it could be possible. Highly highly recommended. Thank you ALL! (:-)

Having been a client of Tom's for many years, I feel very comfortable discussing my concerns and needs. I trust him to look after my vision and good health and I am very happy with the all round care and service that the practice provides. Staff are skilled, friendly and helpful. A greater choice of spectacles would add to an already very good practice.

I was fitted with bifocals at this opticians as they were on special offer from a German company. Less than a year later, a screw became loose and I lost it. A number of opticians branches more local to where I live told me these glasses could not be fixed as they were 'spring loaded'. I contacted McMahons and to my surprise was immediately offered a replacement pair of glasses.
These days, many companies make you fight for any consumer rights. I visited the shop and to my delight, their optician, a charming young professional, fixed my glasses perfectly in about 10 minutes. I couldn't recommend their customer service more. Honest, professional and helpful.

Excellent optometrist. A warm friendly welcome. I have been a patient here for over 25 years. Treated like a VIP on every visit. Professional, latest technology, empathetic, knowledgeable. A family run business. I would never attend a high street shop for something as precious as my eyes. A problem arose, pain and swelling in both eyes, seen same day. Nothing too much trouble.
