We are an independent opticians practice creating bespoke eyewear and individually designed contact lenses. Expert staff and state of the art equipment ensure unrivalled eyecare backed up with the highest standards of aftercare. Slit lamp examination begins with the front of your eye, examining the lids, lashes and conjunctiva. We then look at the tear film for signs of dry eye before examining the cornea. The anterior chamber is checked for clarity, depth and angle with the iris. Cataracts are formed on the lens of your eye and are easily detected by our examination.

Extremely friendly staff and very professional in their attitude. I have to say I have never had service like it from anywhere else. It was explained what is on offer to me, but certainly not pushy to buy any extras. I will most certainly use them again and would highly recommend them to friends and anyone needing an optician.

Returned to Brian Davidson Opticians in Dundee after an absence of many years, having been disappointed with the reducing quality of lenses from the High St chains. I am absolutely delighted with my new glasses. Top quality Zeiss optics and top quality care and attention from all the team. very thorough examination and a perfect prescription. Later that day I tried on my old glasses again and my reaction was "Wow, did I put up with these!" There is a downside. they were very expensive. But, I wear my varifocals from morning to night and they are just so good! Definitely worth it.

Amazing service from start to finish, as someone who has never liked wearing glasses and how they look I'm now as happy as can be with my new pair. Also the attention to making sure you are 100% happy with your new pair is insanely appreciated. Making minor adjusts to your frame until it fits perfectly. Very friendly and knowledgeable as well!
