We provide a thorough, professional eye examination for all our patients. Using latest technology, our specialised Optometrists are dedicated to your clinical care. As Independent Prescribing Optometrists we are able to clinically assess a patient, establish a diagnosis, determine a clinical management plan and prescribe licensed medication to treat the condition where necessary.
Our experienced Optical team will help you find the best shape and style to suit your look and personality. We offer unique styles, innovative materials and value for money. Frames you won't find on the high street including bespoke fitting to environmentally friendly materials. Lenses are the most important part of your spectacles.
From initial consultation through to becoming an experienced contact lens wearer we will be with you all the way. From occasional use for sport or evenings out to daily wear we can help with all contact lens choices. Our goal is to find the right lens for you. Our Optometrists will always aim to provide the correct lens type for your eyes and prescription.

Support local! I've been been visiting Scott Gilmour for about 10 years. The Optician (possibly the owner) is great. Even better, the staff that help you select glasses are the stars of the show - from the minute you arrive, they are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Their service is exemplary and so I'll never go anywhere else now.

I go here for annual eye tests and always get a very thorough examination (from the owner I think). Recently I had a minor issue and whilst they couldn't see me about it due to Covid restrictions, I received a phone call later that day from an optician (I don't think it was the owner) who explained what to do and why to do it. The problem cleared up within a couple of days. I think small businesses like this rely on local word--of-mouth recommendations and it probably won't have targets like some of its larger rivals.
