A wonderful experience, worth waiting 2 years for Covid-19 to abate enough to venture. A full and thorough session checks, measuring and health checks, followed by a consultation on the best options for new glasses and finally when the new glasses arrive, expert fitting for comfort and visual experience.

I had no idea that the best optometrist I had ever encountered would be based right in my village. After a terrifying optical emergency, I discovered Walker and Campbell, who couldn't have been more accommodating and kind. I subsequently joined their scheme, and now enjoy convenient reminders to annual checks, and the most fabulous customer service. As a relatively fussy customer (!) I can highly recommend this professional practice.

Having tried various opticians over the years going to see Walker & Campbell was a real eye opener! Complete professionalism from start to finish using state of the art equipment. New glasses were available in a matter of days with time taken to ensure that they fitted properly and achieved the required improvement in vision. I have been going to Walker & Campbell for the last 40 years and will contine to do so. Tracy takes great care with he examinations and benefits from the most up-to-date equipment to photograph and evaluate the condition of the eyes. In my case, with bilateral detached retinas, this reassurance has proved invaluable. The dispensing side of the business is also relaxed and professional.

They want to be certain that you get glasses that you will like. The new Eyeplan is a great idea, with very attractive discounts if you are buying more than one pair of glasses at a time.

From the first phone call to arrange my daughter's eye examination, to the collection of her glasses, the service was second to none. Every member of staff was friendly, welcoming, reassuring, helpful and efficient. They were very approachable and made the whole experience very pleasant for my daughter. Every step of the examination was explained and all questions answered fully.

They have a very affordable eye care plan which was easy to join. There is a great selection of frames to suit all budgets and there is no limit to how many you can try on. Covid safety measures are excellent and the practice is spotless. The glasses were ready within five days of the appointment and are of a high quality. I'm glad I used a local independent optician rather than a high street chain. I feel we received a very high level of customer service and feel like a valued customer. All round highly recommended.
