Safarian and Simon Opticians

Suffering from a painful eye infection called blepharitis, my GP sent me to Safarian & Simon, an optician located on St. Johns Wood High Street. The staff there are delightful, and the place itself is quite lovely. Anila took care of me, meticulously cleaning my eyes using state-of-the-art equipment. Her thoroughness and skill in cleansing my eyelids and lashes were remarkable. Many thanks to Anila and the entire team at S & S!

The entire team offers attentive, detailed eye exams where all your questions are thoroughly answered, flexibility on scheduling, endless patience (and advice, if sought!) on choosing new frames, and cheerfully readjustment of eyeglasses whenever needed. Excellent service! All the optometrists are helpful and very knowledgeable. We have been coming here for years and they have diagnosed major eye conditions etc. They now have some state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment - but it's the personal touch that really makes them stand out.

Hugely professional and knowledgable opticians. Thoroughly examined my son and identified several issues, which we now are able to start trying to correct. Even bought and took home 2 pairs of glasses while we waited. All staff were fab. 100% recommend to anyone. We will be back!

My family have been coming to this neighbourhood optician for two decades. Their equipment is hospital standard, and the offer a beautiful range of glasses. The opticians are always kind, attentive and patient with my elderly and very disabled mother, and they do not over-sell or force expensive choices on customers. Similarly, they are happy to offer advice and a quick spectacles-fix whenever I have dropped in randomly. I highly recommend this proper family opticians.

Excellent on all counts. Very detailed eye tests and follow-up consultation on frames and lenses. Knowledgeable, attentive and unrushed service throughout. David kept me up to date on delivery and emailed me my lens prescription for future reference. I can't fault them.

I have used Safarian and Simon for a number of years and went to them again recently for an eye test and for choosing and fitting new spectacles. I felt all of the staff from the optician (Mr Patel) to those fitting the new spectacles (Sukru and David) were very competent and professional, guiding me through the numerous choices to be made with skill and tact. My son was examined by Mr Patel who was very professional, but also superbly kind. We were referred from a major high street chain of opticians as my son's eye condition appeared normal and needing no glasses during their assessment, yet his vision remained considerably poor as a result of a neurological condition. Mr Patel was thorough and in-depth, using state of the art equipment which allowed him to provide a helpful working diagnosis, for which we are extremely grateful. Outstanding service. I have been seeing Dr. Patel for over 10 years before he started this clinic. I have tried other optometrists closer to home but decided to return to Dr. Patel for his thorough eye health & vision checks. He is friendly and is very knowledgable about his field.

I rang the practice on a Monday morning in a panic and was seen immediately! Very quickly Sachin was able to diagnose my problem and reassure me. When you're a clinician yourself, it's hard to be a patient! Sachin is brilliant, he knows exactly how to interact and make you part of the decision making process. Explains it all and doesn't assume things. Listens to you and comes up with a management plan that is realistic and works for you.

I went for my first visit at Safarian & Simon today on a referral of a lovely ophthalmologist and I couldn't have been happier with their excellent care. I've struggled with blurred vision due to an eye disease for three years now and my doctors have suspected that it might be permanent eye nerve damage. Mr. Patel was extremely knowledgeable, professional and kind and did a full eye health check with several scans.

I'm so relieved he came to a different conclusion through a nonroutine scan. I walked out the same day with new glasses and sharp vision for the first time in three years. Have been going to this optometrist for about 5 years. I always have a thorough eye exam and love that I can see the history of the state of my eyes over the years. I also brought in some frames that I bought overseas to be lensed. They took the time to explain lense types, associated costs, pros and cons, etc. I really felt like I made a very informed decision when I chose my lenses. Blepharitis all gone! I was recommended to see Mr Patel from a friend who used to see him at Boots Wigmore street and has now taken over his own opticians in St. Johns wood. I have tried drops and warm compresses for a decade from other ‘Dry eye’ opticians. Mr Patel used modern innovative treatment to help my dry eye caused by Blepharitis, he explained each step and why this has happened-two months on and I have not used a single eye drop!
