The service here is excellent - the eyesight test was a very reasonable price, the staff were all friendly and keen to help - one member of staff spent such a long time with me helping me decide on the right pair of glasses. The turn around time was amazing - I got notified that my glasses were ready to collect less than 48 hours after my appointment.

The glasses themselves are not the cheapest around, but the service you get for your money makes it so worthwhile - I have previously tried chain optometrists which are cheaper but you're completely left on your own when deciding which glasses to go for and so don't really know where to start, but they were so helpful and knowledgeable here that I will definitely be coming back.

I have been coming to Specs Direct for decades and will continue to do so. Chris is excellent, professional and very thorough when conducting eye exams and takes his time. I have both eye exam and contact lenses annually and it's always comprehensive. I have complete confidence in him identifying any anomalies or emerging issues with my sight and providing solutions to resolve. I would highly recommend Chris!

Chris is a great optician and gave me lots of advice about the type of glasses that would best suit me. I'm really pleased with the varifocal Tom Ford spectacles that i bought.

We were recommended to Specs Direct by friends, and are most grateful for this. From the off we were pleasantly greeted in a Covid safe environment and were never subject to pressure sales. Both my wife and I felt the opthalmic examination to be most thorough and appreciated having a number of the examination results explained to us. Considerable time was taken in explaining the lens types, coatings etc. available to us, and providing help in choosing frames.

All in all this was a pleasant experience with excellent customer service. Albeit early days, having collect our glasses only yesterday, both my wife and I are more than satisfied with the end result.

My recent visit to Specs Direct was very disappointing. The receptionist was very rude and condescending. She had an Australian or New Zealand accent. Also there prices are very high. They do not have a good selection of budget frames so you have to pay very expensive prices for designer frames. Also there lenses are very expensive compared to other opticians. It just feels like it is all about sales. My advice is shop around.

This is the 2nd time I've bought 3 different pairs of glasses from here, and what brings me back is the professionalism and courtesy of the opticians and ophthalmologists who take the time to deliver the kind of exemplary service you wish every business would offer. I now have very lightweight glasses for computer work, for everyday use, and variable lens prescription inserts for the sunglasses I use for road cycling (fantastic on the bike - something I've been thinking about getting for ages and now wish I'd got years ago). Frames are frames and lenses are what they have to be to help one's sight.

What stands out with Specs Direct is the service. Chris carefully assessed my eyes to give me a precise prescription, and then handed me over to Catherine to help me locate the frame & lens combination I needed and wanted. The key to getting this right is giving the customer the time and advice with which to make an important set of decisions - glasses can be a significant expense, so having the time and help in-store to make a conclusive choice is essential. Catherine was exceptionally helpful in this regard, listening to what I was looking for and then using her expertise to guide me through their range - without making me feel I was being directed to one kind of frame over another, or hurried through the process. I wouldn't hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend, Chris, Catherine, and the whole team.

My first visit to Specs Direct Barnet and it was faultless! Chris' examination of my eyes was thorough and I really felt listened to about the concerns I have with my sight.
