I have never had such a comprehensive eye examination. Shameen Amirbayat is highly qualified and experienced and takes time to explain what she is doing and the results. For the first time in 58 years someone was able to explain the rings around my eyes. Shameen is supported by her husband Adam who is extremely efficient and helpful in assisting with the image of the eye and guiding you in the best choice of frames and lenses.

I normally just grab the first frame but Adam made me take a bit of time to choose something that suited me and explained the lens options in detail and helped me decide on what I really needed my glasses for which is computer work rather than reading. Something that is normally annual chore became a pleasant outing. Thank you Adam and Shameem, I look forward to next year.

I hadn't been happy with my past opticians as they miss prescribed two pairs of glasses, so after some research found Optical View. The lady optician is the most experienced, thorough and courteous optician I have met and so much so I had my two daughters checked as well. Her husband is the same and we all felt very well looked after, and never pushed towards expensive frames. Great to support an independent too!

Last year during the lockdown, I suddenly got flashing lights in my right eye and did not have very good vision. I was new to the area and happened to end up at Optical View. Shameem saw me and did a thorough examination; she was not happy, so she referred me to the eye hospital. I was diagnosed with detached vitreous gel. Age related and not serious.

A few months later, my vision was still not good, so I returned. Shemeem saw me, and once again, I received the most amazing care and attention and a very in-depth examination. I needed new glasses as my prescription had changed quite a bit. Adam helped me choose a new pair that I am now thrilled with. Vision is back to 20/20. Shemeem also made sure that my contact lenses were a perfect fit and let my try a few different suppliers. I can't recommend Optical View highly enough. Shemeem and Adam make a great team, and they are both wonderful people.

I went in to my usual optician as I had an issue that needed possible urgent attention. After visiting 3 other opticians I came upon optical view. The optician was really kind and saw me straight away. She was courteous and covid secure and explained every step as she went. Her colleague was equally as friendly as he did his part of the procedure and I felt welcome and looked after at all times. Excellent service in my hour of need. Thank you both. Highly recommend.

First time I visited was an emergency check advised by the Eye Hospital, Oxford. Optical View was one of the recommended opticians. The check was very in depth and the optician was very professional whilst being calm, kind and reassuring. When my routine eye check was due I booked it with Optical View and received the same high standard of care. The frames offered were amazing, best choice in town with support given in a friendly low key way.

I sincerely recommend this wonderful small opticians and their service. (ps. Whilst I was in on my first visit feeling very anxious another customer was about to leave and was saying how delighted and grateful she was for the way they had helped)

Outstanding service and attention to detail. l am delighted to have found this new, independent optician.

I needed to see an optician during the Coronavirus lockdown because of a foreign body in my eye, which had been bothering me for 2 weeks. Dr Amirbayat opened up her optician's premises especially for me and disinfected everything before my consultation. All COVID-19 precautions were followed. She spent over 40 minutes giving me a very thorough examination and was able to diagnose and resolve the problem for me. I'm very grateful to her for taking such trouble. I would strongly recommend using Optical Outlook not just for emergencies but for any form of eye consultation.

I wanted to share that Adam provides such a great service from start to finish looking after you throughout the process in either getting your eyes tested with a new prescription or in buying custom glasses aswell. Fed up with big chains and feeling really unhappy with my eyes, she made lots of helpful suggestions to ease my discomfort (no-one had previously told me I had dry eyes!). My prescription was changed and I am feeling more comfortable generally and in particular reading more easily. I urge you to try this very pleasant independent optician.

I have been using this optician for a few years now. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The eye tests are thorough and painstaking and they always go the extra mile. They replaced frames that inexplicably shattered and have happily repaired other frames that I have misused. No hard sell of expensive options, just a really good service. I would definitely recommend Optical view to anyone needing an optician.

And then he let me take one pair away to try without paying for them. Such determination to find what the customer seeks, and such trust is so very rare these days. The glasses are just great, the prices very reasonable and I was definitely not charged at all for all the time it must've taken to find the frames I wanted. In a world of disappointing people, of flaky careless and impersonal service Optical View is a real find. A Gem of a company, and peerless in Witney. Strongly recommended.

I got exactly what I needed from this company. They have a very good person doing the Eye test who is there permanently who spends good half hour doing the glasses prescription. Whereas in some places I feel rushed and sometimes the prescription is not quite accurate, this time I have no reason to go back to complain. My new prescription has improved my vision.

The only reason I give just 4 stars and not 5 is because when I went to pick up the glasses they asked me to go back after half hour because they were busy, it was not a big deal but my car was in the 20 minute slot, however I will probably go back again next time.

This is the best opticians in all of Witney. Here you get a far more personal and thorough service by someone who is more qualified than who you often get for an eye test in chain brand shops. Why go somewhere else and get a impersonal service from another optician in Witney? Another reason to come here is because my eyesight has never been as sharp and crisp as it is now since getting my glasses today.
