Our comprehensive eye examinations involve a complete diagnostic evaluation of the ocular health and vision. Through continual investment we have access to some of the most advanced diagnostic equipment. Combine this with our passion to deliver great customer service, you'll be in great hands. Most Eye examinations take approximately 45 minutes.
At SELBY & TAYLOR we believe that your children's vision is precious. Regular eye exams at a young age are crucial to ensure your child's eyes are developing the way they should be. Without good vision children can suffer enormous setbacks to learning and the development of all their life skills. Many parents do not realise that eyesight can be tested from a very early age and that it is recommended that children should have an eye examination at least by the age of three, or earlier if you think there may be a problem.
Screen fatigue is an uncomfortable condition brought about by spending prolonged periods staring at a screen. Typical symptoms include: tired or irritated eyes, blurred vision, headaches, double vision, changes in colour perception, sensitivity to light and dry eyes. Sufferers also may have trouble focusing on distant objects after using Display Screen Equipment (DSE) for any length of time.
This is a condition which is also known as "Mears-Irlen" syndrome. Visual Stress refers to reading difficulties, light sensitivity and headaches from exposure to disturbing visual patterns. It can be responsible for print distortion and rapid fatigue when reading. The severity of these symptoms can vary from person to person.
