In 1985, Barke Opticians commenced selling Carl Zeiss lenses and frames exclusively, recognising their superiority in quality and optical excellence. We opened our Stratford branch in 1995. Whilst we continue to deal exclusively with Zeiss lenses, our frame ranges have expanded to include the Danish designed Lindburg Air titanium range and the most fashionable and desirable designs from Calvin Klein and DKNY, among many others.

The folk at the shop couldn't have been more helpful, they helped with new lenses, they spent ages to source frames for me along with several other alternative frames, nothing was too much trouble. They even fixed my wife's damaged frame and wouldn't charge! The best service and experience we've had with opticians

My wife and I have had eye care and glasses from Zeiss Opticians for over 15 years. They are head-and-shoulders the best opticians we have ever known. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. The product and service quality are first rate.
