Fantastic service and great customer care. After 40 years of using various opticians after one visit I now understand more about my eye health than ever before. I had the most thorough test of my eyesight and eye health and was massively impressed at the quality of service and the feedback given to me. The cost was very reasonable too.

Been having some eye trouble possible infection went here after struggling to get help at chemist and drs, and staff were lovely and friendly examination was thorough felt really reassured didn’t need treatment. Was given really helpful advice. Said I can come back if have anymore problems. Then to my surprise it was free, couldn’t believe it really really great service!

The service at Oakwood Eyecare is nothing short of exceptional! I recently booked an appointment as I needed a second opinion on a sight test that I'd had at a national opticians, and I'm very glad that I did. Their attention to detail and care for their patients is exceptional and I'm very grateful for their help.

Oakwood Eyecare is stunning. Well run and efficient. Mrs Jackson took a real interest in my eyes and got me referred to Ophthalmology. The practice has up to date testing equipment. It is a tightly and well run ship.

Care and attention was given to my son. Everything was explained to me clearly and options were given for 'treatment'. The service was very thorough and professional, so much so that my husband and I have decided to change opticians and join Oakwood Eyecare!

Polite, friendly and courteous. It has a range of services and good advice. Its local, with free parking. I feel the opticians are well qualified and offer a level of service above the chain shops.

Such a happy 8 year old girl walking out of there to a whole new world! Very emotional for mummy but the excitement from our little girl when she could see was just priceless! Staff were so so helpful, informative and attentive and made the experience great in every possible way! We are now both looking forward to her 6 month check up!

We have been very impressed with the personal service provided by Oakwood Eyecare. Our daughter, aged 6, has now had 3 pairs of glasses from them and each time they have been really good with her. She needs a powerful prescription and the staff explained about the option of thinning the lenses. They have ordered in extra frames for us to look at when choosing and have repaired and adjusted glasses very quickly whilst we wait. In lockdown the glasses were delivered by the staff to the door. We would definitely recommend them!😀

Honestly oakwood eyecare have gone above and beyond for my family in the past. The fact they came out at around 7 o'clock in the evening to fix my sons glasses and repair them the same day ... really wasn't expecting that thanks so much.

Cant rate highly enough! Not even as customer here normally but my son needed prescription sunglasses. During lockdown his normal opticians was shut. Oakwood eye care were great- came to the house, maintained distance, gave us glasses to choose from and then delivered them when ready. Will definitely be coming here from now on for all our eye appts.

I have been with these guys for 16 years now & I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience! The staff are all very knowledgeable & friendly, I have multiple disabilities & they are always so patient & helpful. They stock a wide range of products that are all competitively priced & they offer the option of paying monthly! These guys really go above & beyond to get the best product @ the very best price!!

After being misdiagnosed by Specsavers and being sent to hospital for no reason a few years ago, I was extremely nervous to return to any opticians. Having been to Oakwood Eyecare when I was younger (and had a good experience), I decided to return a few months ago. All of the staff were extremely friendly and put me at ease. Well worth the money!

The whole team at Oakwood Eyecare are wonderful. Special mention to Nicola Eyden. Thank you so much for looking after me and helping me choose the best frames for me. Nicola is an asset to the team.

I can honestly say that my recent experience at Oakwood was far superior to any of the previous eye tests I have had at various high street optician chains over the last 15 years. Whereas other opticians had made me feel like a number being rushed through their testing process, Oakwood’s professional and knowledgeable staff made me feel a valued customer at every step of the way, taking the time to explain tests and their results and to advise me without any ‘hard sell’ tactics of my options for new glasses.

I genuinely felt that they wanted the best for me as an individual first and foremost and came away confident that I had been tested far more thoroughly than I had been elsewhere, had received expert opinion and that I had ordered the right frames and lenses for me and my needs. Needless to say, when I received the glasses (ahead of the anticipated timescale), I was extremely impressed by their fit, comfort and the quality of the Zeiss lenses. I cannot, therefore, recommend Oakwood highly enough
