I have been a patient of McLeish Opticians for well over 10 years. Every time I have been there, I have been greeted by the very polite, helpful & professional staff & Mr McLeish himself. They have a huge selection of glasses to suit everyone, different types, styles & peoples budgets. I would not go anywhere else & that includes my entire family. Thanks for all the years of excellent service you have given me & my family.

Mr McLeish has been my optician for over 15 years. He's an exceptional optometrist who has always given insightful advice on eye care through my years of wearing lenses and glasses. As a teenager I used another optician which was a known high street brand - the experience was always poor and you felt little in the way of customer care. When visiting McLeish Opticians you always get a warm welcome from the team on the desk and Ivar himself. He's excellent at what he does and he's got a great manner with his patients. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for an optician that takes pride in what he does.

Mr McLeish & the team are incredibly friendly & accommodating. Considering I've been moving around for university for years, I have never had an issue organising an appointment or receiving my prescription (via post if necessary!). I discovered nocturnal contact lenses (which I wear at night & don't need during the day) over 8 years ago & I have never looked back! Service is outstanding & (for my eyesight) life changing!

Always very helpful and friendly. Kids are well looked after. Reassuring with the extra OCT scan also.

McLeish Opticians, in my opinion, are the best opticians by far. The staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, incredibly helpful, and do so with a smile. Cannot reccomend McLeish Opticians highly enough. Fabulous.

Been going here since I was a little girl, and would never think of going anywhere else! Whole team are so lovely and the services they provide are superb.

Despite having moved around a lot to other cities I always made a point to return to Ivan & his team. 37yrs later & I still attend as does my mum. Relaxed, not rushed & even if it's just a phone call the receptionists remember who you are. I've had a lot of medical issues & operations effecting my eyes. The staff always want the latest update & have given prompt & appropriate advice.

You get the sense this is a true passion & Mr McLeosh has invested in some of the most advanced eye health scanners but gives easily understandable results. I'd be loathed to attend anywhere else even if it meant a trip from Dundee again!

Would recommend using McLeish opticians, staff friendly, very informative on there procedures and no hard sell on any of there products.

Very friendly welcome and a very professional service. Large selection of frames which you can choose from without feeling rushed for time. If I need an opticians again (I will), I will be certain to return.

Have attend Mcleish's Opticians for some time and always receive full examination re my contacts and glasses and the technology that he has for eye care is excellent. Always come away satisfied that everything has been covered and reassured.

Best place for your eyes. Only OCT scanner in East Lothian. Has already saved numerous lives with this scanner. Other organs only offer retinal pictures, this scanner goes deeper. Just like getting a picture taken. No pain, all gain! Highly refined this opticians

My family and I have been satisfied customers of Mr Mcleish for 15 years. I've always found him a very professional man with a keen knowledge of his craft. The OCT scan that he offers has, literally, been a life saver. During such a scan, he discovered a cancerous tumour on my wife's retina and referred her for further treatment. This is a friendly and welcoming place and I would recommend everyone use this local optician.

Been with this amazing bunch for 30 years! I sadly cannot get all the surgeries/procedures or even contact lenses because of my bespoke situation. However Mr McLeish along with Gwen and Helen have made my life easier with great frames, superb rates and even more importantly the best service you could genuinely want as a customer. On a patient side of things - they have the most advanced ocular scanner ever made that can detect any internal eye issues and it can even detect illness and potential future problems that could arise.

They literally scanned my Mum the other week because her eye was just giving her a bit of discomfort...2 camera clicks later it was confirmed my Mum had a detached retina. From that she was sent to the Edinburgh Eye Pavilion in 2 days and then had emergency laser eye surgery. She is completely fine and was back to work in a day. Thanks to Mr McLeish and that amazing machine! Massive review I know but I cannot give them enough praise. Honestly check them out, get your eyes checked up as you only have 1 set
