This phase sees us enter a 'new normal' and incorporates the good practice established over the past two years to ensure patient and public safety. At Edmonds and Slatter the eyecare services we provide involve a great deal of close contact and taking this into account our staff WILL still be wearing masks, visors, and other items of personal protective equipment within our practices, continuing regular lateral flow testing and maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control procedures, including good hand hygiene, decontaminating equipment after use or contact with a patient and keeping up to date with the recommended immunisations.

Our Dispensing Opticians are able to record all these additional measurements with new unique tools and training to further bespoke your vision. These bespoke lenses also include a combination of three breakthrough technologies during their manufacturing process. This dramatically reduces the unnecessary need of head movement for the wearer when trying to find the "sweet spot" of your spectacle lens.
Who can wear contact lenses? There is no age limit - most people can wear contact lenses provided that their eyes are healthy and suitable. You're never too old to start!. Just wanted to share how good my experience at Edmonds & slatter opticians was yesterday. I have been going there for eye tests, glasses and contact lenses since 1998 and have always found them to be knowledgeable and friendly but yesterday was even better. The optician I had took the time to explain everything including a thorough review of the health of my eye and ensured he shared everything he was recording on my records. I would highly recommend Edmonds and slatters to everyone.

Best opticians in the local area. The optician giving me the eye test was very thorough but also put me completely at ease despite my anxiety. The dispenser I saw to choose and measure up for the glasses was very helpful, kind and sensitive. I had problems getting varifocal glasses to work for me properly before I came to Edmonds and Slatter. I have since discovered just how important it is to ensure that accurate measurements are taken before ordering the glasses but also fitting them when they arrive.
Since attending this practice I have completely got used to wearing varifocal glasses. Recently I went in for a new pair and they now also have two fancy new machines that takes even more measurements, tracking accurately how one moves one's head/eyes when reading and looking around. If you have your eyes tested and require glasses you will be impressed by the service you receive here.

RUDE. It was recently brought to my attention how rude the staff members were here to my mother so I thought it was worth a review! The staff were rude and pushy towards making a sale, my mother falls under the category for a free eye test but when she stated that the glasses and lenses they wanted her to buy were too expensive for her the staff member rudely commented on the fact that she got her eye test for free! - This place has always been VERY expensive and they need to respect the fact that we are not all made of money. rip off and rude. I left Edmonds & Slatters years ago and now my mother has too!

Very professional and friendly service both when I had my eyes tested and purchased glasses & prescription sunglasses and also when I wanted to give contact lenses a try. I will not go anywhere else for my test/prescription and I'm looking forward to choosing (with their expert help) my next pair of glasses. Would highly recommend Edmonds and Slatter to anyone needing an eye test, new glasses, sunglasses or contact lenses, you won't be disappointed.
